AWA
Spay & Neuter Clinic Becomes a Reality
The
Board of Directors of Animal Welfare Alliance
have taken the next big step; they have furnished
a facility to be utilized as a low-cost spay
and neuter clinic. Located at 801 E. McGaffey
in Roswell, the clinic opened on March 24, 2007
and is dedicated to serving the residents of
Chaves County and their pets.
Requests
for financial assistance to help pay for spay
and neuter services continue to come in week
after week, leaving the Board of AWA to know
that this was the right thing to do at the right
time.

AWA
Spay & Neuter Clinic, 801 E. McGaffey, Roswell
The
AWA Spay & Neuter Clinic is fully
equipped and fully staffed with the best people
possible. Veterinarians Donna Harper and
Bill Pearce will continue to work wonders
by providing their professional services for
the clinic and will be assisted by Mychele
Moody and Dawn Sage. This team travels
across the state to work at our clinics. They
have a level of dedication that is second to
none. AWA can not say enough how much we appreciate
the contributions that each of them makes.
Now
that we have our own facility AWA will hold
two spay/neuter clinics a month. Watch for more
news about AWA's spay/neuter program. As we
continue to grow, so will the number of clinics.

Many
people in the community donated time,
material and skill to make this clinic
a reality. Some of these people include
Scott Hubbard, Krista McGlasson, Farrell
and Sue Clem of Custom
Wrought Iron, Corrine Meda, and
Tony and Maggie of Legends
Auto Body.
Special thanks go to Shannon Cobb,
who stepped forward and literally put
her name on the line to make this clinic
a reality. She and Bob Schneider
worked long, hard hours making this clinic
come together.

Spay
and neuter must continue to be our main priority
if Roswell is ever to reach a time when our
companion animals have adequate numbers of homes
that care for them as much as they care for
us.
Thank
you for your support and we appreciate your
generous contributions to help towards reaching
our goal.
