ARES Membership Application -- We
have not asked for an update of membership applications since 2002. Although we believe we have current
information on all members, please take a minute to print a new membership
application, fill it out and mail to Alfred - W5ALL 3205 Estrellita Dr.
Roswell, NM 88201-1017.
Also, we can always use new members. Please browse through this site to get a feel for our activities
and commitments and then submit an application if you wish to participate. We need hams for all levels of participation,
from those who are house-bound (for message relay) to those who are physically
active. CARES accepts applications from
outside Chaves County from those hams who have no active EMCOM group in their
county, or live near the Chaves County line, or who have close work, family or
other ties to Chaves County. RACES
(Chaves Co. government sponsored) is currently restricted to Chaves County
residents.
CLICK HERE for an application in Adobe PDF format. If you have trouble printing the application
form, W5ALL will mail you a pre-printed copy.

How You Can Join Our Group
Ø
If you already have a ham license (Technician License is just fine),
then come to our next meeting.
Ø
If you are interested, but do not have a license, then come to our next
meeting anyway and we will help you study for your license. When you are ready (after a few weeks of
easy study) we will arrange for the FCC required test. It is really not all that difficult. Links to the ARRL study guide for a
Technician License are below.
