Adoption
This is a family decision and not to be taken lightly. All members of the family should
come into the kennels and meet the pets available for adoption. Our dedicated and
wonderful staff will be glad to help you. They may be able to suggest pets that possess
the qualities you are looking for and can give you information regarding the lifestyles
the pets may require.
Adoption papers must be filled out and signed. Bring proof of residence such as a
driver's license or some identifying paperwork.
You must provide a proper environment for your adopted pet. The yard must be fenced
with enough room to accommodate the size of the animal. Your fence will be checked by
kennel staff prior to completing the adoption.
All adopted animals must be spayed or neutered. Animals will be delivered by the
Roswell Humane Society to the local veterinarian of your choice. You will be contacted by
the veterinarian to pick up your adopted pet at the vet's office.
Adoption fees are $75.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. This price includes spaying or
neutering (the kennel actually loses money on all animals). Your veterinarian may, after
examining your pet, suggest additional procedures, treatments, or medications. These will
of course cost you extra. Remember, you are adding a member to your family. You want them
to get a good healthy start. |
